Drug Store Raid are celebrating their second album “Pop Songs For People Who Might Get Killed” on 26th of September in Semifinal. The band first broke through in Finland with their 2024 debut album Background Music for Family Arguments, which established them as one of the standout new names in the country’s emerging indie and alternative guitar scene. The record picked up support from Radio YleX, a nationwide radio station run by Finland’s public broadcaster, and Radio Helsinki, along with coverage in Finnish music media including Soundi. Alongside a steady run of club shows, Drug Store Raid have also played Naamat Festival, Mitäs Mitäs Mitäs Festiva, Jytäkesä Go-Go and other long-running festivals with a strong place in Finland’s independent live scene. The band has recently made their first big steps to international stages.
If the debut captured the loose energy of a young band moving on instinct, the new material suggests a group whose identity has sharpened fast.
